We were on a weekend away at the Starved Rock area and tried Country House for breakfast. Love this class diner/breakfast restaurant vibes. They let us put in a reservation as we had a larger party, and our table was ready right when we arrived. The restaurant was packed for a Sunday morning breakfast! I had a Belgian waffle- it took a bit as thr first one didn't come out, and I don't think I would get it again here. However, my bacon was delicious and perfectly cooked, my niece loved her Mickey pancake, and my sister's Benedict was fantastic. Biscuits and gravy reviews from the table were decent. Service was fantastic- and we'd likely be regulars if we lived in the area- would recommend.
